I am a photographer from Bergen, Norway. I first fell in love with photography when I was 17, while living with a photographer in the United States.
Since then, my passion for exploring and taking photos has grown. I studied photography at The Norwegian School of Creative Arts and got my bachelor's degree from Southampton Solent University in England in 2014. After finishing school, I started working in a portrait studio but soon realized I needed more inspiration. So, I decided to travel the world and capture new experiences through my lens.
My work mainly revolves around self-portraits, as they serve as a means to delve into my inner world and examine how it intersects with the outer realm. This particular artistic approach allows me to explore how, as an individual, I sometimes conform to and at other times challenge the expectations and societal norms prevalent in today's world.
I create spontaneously, capturing moments of inspiration wherever they come. Through my work, I want to express and show the raw emotions of the present. When I take photos, I don't plan how I'll pose until I'm in front of the camera. I adapt my body to fit within each shot, absorbing my surroundings and objects around me.
As I continue working on my self-portraits, I anticipate a natural and dynamic progression, with new elements constantly influencing my creative process. Just as our universe is ever-changing, so too will my mind, body, surroundings, and ultimately, my photographs.
